Function
The collecting box is the pipe fitting for boiler working medium mixing and ensuring uniform heating of working medium.Industrial boiler furnace wall is usually composed of rows and rows of tubes (water wall) together, but boiler huge volume, complicated structure, cannot guarantee that all the working medium in the pipe of heat absorption capacity is the same, different parts of heat absorption differs a lot, install header can let each pipe working medium inside converge here, the redistribution to the next level in the tube, so that we can reduce the thermal deviation, make the working medium heat, cooling flow, boiler, the boiler thermal efficiency are optimized to improve;In addition, the size, number and layout of the upper, middle and lower sections of the boiler pipes are different.
In order to improve the efficiency of the boiler, the tube boiler was developed to increase the heat transfer area.The pot water flows into the lower box from the pot drum through the descending tube, and is distributed to each tube bundle by the box. The water in the tube bundle continuously absorbs heat energy, and is collected in the box above and then flows back into the pot drum.We call the top and bottom boxes collection boxes or header boxes.Header (also known as header), is an important part of the boiler, divided into upper header and lower header.
Product Description
The headers of boilers include water-cooling hinders of boilers proper, economizer hinders, superheater hinders, etc. They function for gathering, mixing and redistribution in boiler systems. In structure, they include end cover hinders or necking hinders.

Details
The pressures and temperatures that headers have to withstand depend on the component to which they are connected. A header connected to an economizer or to water wall panels is subject to less severe requirements on the material than a header connected to superheaters or reheaters.
Depending on the temperature and pressure of headers, Vallourec supplies tubes in carbon steel to high-alloy ferritic steels such as T/P91 or T/P92, with sizes ranging from 88.9 mm to 406.4 mm.
Application
Steam distribution headers are fabricated out of carbon steel or alloy steel seamless tubes. Customized or tailor made items are offered. Headers, after fabrication, are stress relieved to make the Steam distribution headers free from stresses. They are big pipe headers that transfer water from the downcomers to the risers through a combustion zone where the water gets partially heated to steam from the heat of fuel combustion.
